A COVID-era Comeback
When I signed on to The Boys Season 2 campaign for Amazon Prime Video, we dove right into planning stunts, custom content days with talent, and a massive in-world multi-account campaign. That was March 2020, and well, you know what happened. We had to massively pivot.
We leaned into the ethos of the show: foul-mouthed, no-holds barred rage. We just went nuts. And the fans loved it. I could go on, but I’ll let the campaign video and awards submission site do the heavy lifting.
I was the lead on the agency side for this entire campaign, so I oversaw all strategy, creative, production, and community management. I wrote almost all copy throughout, everything from in-world scripted content (vetted by showrunner Eric Kripke and voice recorded by talent) to live tweets and fan responses, all in character as Billy Butcher.
